I am Indian, 45, ex-Roman Catholic, baptized SDA, now worshipping in my own home church. Praise God that I will no longer rely on the Gregorian calendar hung on our walls, but will, instead, ever admire the gorgeous calendar that YAH hung in the skies! I am free!

I received your book GCC by e-mail on 10-9-2008 and accepted the truth in two hours and began frantically googling for moon calendars! My fiancée, Manna, was thrilled beyond words to hear it! Another dear friend Simon also accepted the truth right away. The same night I began mailing your book to others.

The three of us observed the luni-solar Sabbath that followed in the same week. I am sharing all this to show that the merciful YAH had already prepared our hearts, our soil, to receive this beautiful and awesome truth.

It was easy for me to accept the LS Sabbath for two reasons. Firstly at my SDA baptism I had already troubled the pastor with Isaiah 66 :22-23, asking why the New Moon was not valid whereas the Sabbath is, when the prophet mentions both in the same breath. The question of the New Moon appearing in so many verses was tugging at my heart strings ever since. Secondly I had understood that the SDA church had already lost or contorted many truths, and was on the look out for lost truths.

Now I seek your permission to translate your book into Marathi language spoken by nearly 80 million people in India and other Indian languages. I will bear the costs to whatever extent I can. Have the brethren in India done any translations?

Unfortunately it is nigh on impossible to honor this without losing a job. However God is going to set this all straight very soon.

I am first and foremost a truth seeker. I have not been a part of a formal church organization since 1995. Before that I had been Catholic, then various Protestant, then Charismatic and then I was done. After having read all of the "Woe unto pastors for leading My sheep astray", etc. and to come out of Babylon, I did and have never regretted it.

The way I learned of the true Sabbath was that I got sick. I woke up one morning practically paralyzed, having been the picture of health and fitness the night before. I also had a relationship with my Father involving study and prayer (usually about what I thought was not right with my life) and I liked to do it late when most were asleep. The point being that I wasn't the prodigal son. My sickness threw our lives into a tailspin as 60% of our income was now gone. There is more but basically I got thrown into "Special Forces Faith boot camp." During this time I had a spiritual encounter. Then all this information such as what you uncovered came to me in prodigious amounts. But I had time as I was in the Word for 8-10 hours every day. It was do or die time.

Many Bible keys have been opened in recent years to people like you and me. The end-time prophecies are about to be fulfilled.

I am a muslim meaning that I have surrendered to my Creator and I also choose to submit to His laws and no one else's.

I hope that for you the term 'muslim' doesn't conjure up many bad thoughts and ideas but I wouldn't blame you. As you find as a Christian that the people as a whole have violated the God's laws and some have been forgotten like this one, after 14 years of following the so-called 'traditionalist islam' I was made to humbly see that it was all wrong and a HUGE lie against God and His messengers. The God says that "If you obeyed most of who is in the Earth they would lead you astray from the God's way. They only follow conjecture and they are only lying/falsifying" Chapter 6:116 quran.

I just wanted to give you a little intro about myself so you understand where I am coming from. I also never gave too much thought to the issue of the calendar and how it's determined. However, once I was introduced to real belief and surrendering to God's laws alone in His book I was introduced to a website called www.free-minds.org run by others who are avid students of the revelation. I came across this article (http://www.free-minds.org/articles/science/calendars.htm) because we have to understand the issue of when to fast and that understanding has been tainted beyond recognition by the traditionalists (also known as sunnis). I was amazed that the "quran", literally means a lecture/reading, was so clear about how the calendar should be, exactly as you found, a lunisolar one. I haven't fully delved into this topic but seeing that you are humble learners, I feel overwhelmed to share with you what the 'quran' says about this just in case it may deepen your understanding and further your knowledge of the topic.

I hope that I didn't offend you in anyway but I am just curious to see how any truth mentioned in the quran about this topic helps you and please do share that with me as it may help my understanding. Lastly I would like you to know that the 'quran's' message is for all of humanity and the God is very clear about that, it wasn't meant just for arabs, even if they give that impression, just because it's in the arabic language. I mean would we say as English speakers that since none of the revelations were revealed in English that we can't or shouldn't follow the God's laws? Of course not. My husband and I own a small business in ____ and although we do not see eye to eye on the Sabbath day's I have insisted that we close our business on the Lunar Sabbath's. At first it was strange for our customers, many questions were asked to what religion would have a Sabbath on Tuesday, or Wednesday etc... But I would explain that we follow the "ancient Hebrew ways" of Sabbath, before there was a calendar. The Father makes it very easy to follow, and there is no "confusion", you only have to look at the sky. How hard is that? But since closing our doors on the true Sabbath, we have been richly blessed. And our employees don't mind having a day off during the week either.

I also started to follow the Biblical feasts and festivals, not the man made ones. You know, the ones the Word say's we are to follow for all generations... My family was shocked and it was hard for them when I would not participate in Christmas, Thanksgiving and a big one for our family was the 4th of July, but over time they've come to accept my ways and I pray that I can be an example for them.

It has certainly been an awaking for me these last 4 years as I journeyed along this path. May you be blessed on your journey too.

We began a serious study on the calendar which continues to this very day. What we discovered was that YHWH, The Most High, commanded a calendar at Exodus 12:2. This calendar was to be used by His people to determine Holy Time and this calendar was to be based upon the New Moon. Through study we found that both Jewish and Christian scholars recognize that this was the first commandment given to the Nation of Israel while they were still in Egyptian bondage and that it preceded the giving of the 10 Commandments.

We were surprised and shocked by what Scripture revealed about the calendar. In all of the Bible there is only one calendar set up by our Heavenly Father and His calendar begins with New Moon. This calendar predates the Gregorian Calendar and the Julian Calendar from which it comes. Further, we noted that the Gregorian Calendar does not begin with New Moon nor did the Julian Calendar from which it came.

As converts to Christ we are committed to following Him and we began observing the luni-solar calendar revealed in Scripture. The pattern we are given in Genesis Chapter One is that darkness was on the face of the deep, followed by six work days, followed by a Seventh Day Sabbath. This is what we experience and observe each month.

As we shared what we had discovered in Scripture about the calendar, great persecution presented itself from religious people. We were treated shamefully by both Jews and Christians who observe a Saturday Sabbath from the Gregorian Calendar. May they all grow in Truth through His Grace.

The facts about the Calendar are contained in Scripture and are there to be found by any individual seeking to please Him. We believe that this truth about the calendar is part of our return to Primitive Godliness and we would encourage everyone in their own study of this important matter.

In that pile I found a Troy Miller three panel tract that I took and read. I got about 2/3’s the way through it and read a sentence which was a spark that ignited a big fire and from that little point in that tract I understood everything in that packet. I forgot what it was but I think I could find it in one of those tracts but it opened up a very big door and put me on an entirely different planet. I then called my friend and had to leave a message and told him that if we are going by scripture alone then we would have to keep the lunar Sabbath to be consistent.

I had attended Seventh-day Adventist grade school, Academy and College. I considered myself to be quite well read in all the church publications and doctrines, along with the writings of Ellen White. As a hobby I even studied other religions for the purpose of witnessing. In addition I had been a Sabbath School teacher for 20 years. Yet I had never even heard of this concept. While my mouth was still open in apparent amazement and for lack of words, she pointed out that I could easily do my own research online by Googling: lunisolar calendar, lunisolar Sabbath, creation calendar, and calendar history.

All the way home I actively prayed for her, her husband and their families. Upon reaching home I went directly to my computer and began the ordeal of researching the lunisolar Sabbath belief and comparing it with scripture, line upon line. My prayer to the Heavenly Father Yahshua was that He would continue to lead me into all truth. I had previously declared to Him that I only wanted truth that proceeded from the mouth of Yahweh. No longer was I satisfied to follow after the traditions of men that were not supported by a “thus saith the Lord”. My heart’s desire was to get just as close to Yahshua and truth as possible. I was hearing a call to wake up and come out of Babylon (false teachings and traditions) and be restored fully to the truth as it is in Scripture.

I fully believed that this whole lunisolar calendar concept would be found to be error and not be provable from scripture alone. After all Ellen White supported a Saturday Sabbath. Yet I made up my mind that if it was the truth, if it bore the heavenly seal of a “thus saith the Lord Yahweh from Scripture” that I would, with Yahshua’s help, walk in the new light. To my great surprise it soon became apparent that Scripture supported a lunisolar calendar and it’s corresponding seventh-day Sabbath without exception. I read through and studied every article and every website I could find on the subject and found while all of them were not in perfect agreement on every detail such as what constitutes the New Moon, it was evident that a very strong golden cord of truth ran consistently through the lunisolar Sabbath teaching.

Within a week I acquired a two part DVD of eLaine Vornholt speaking on the subject of the Lunisolar Sabbath and its relationship to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. I was truly astounded that some of the leaders of the church had knowledge of this since 1938 and chose not to share it with the common people.

When the magnitude of all of these new concepts began to settle into my mind, I could not go on with life as usual. I was gripped by the knowledge that this was truth and that at this late hour Yahshua was restoring it to His faithful people around the world. I was thrilled that I was given an invitation to follow as well as the ability to understand, and so with His power He has enabled me to walk in this new light of truth while the whole world continues to walk to the beat of a different drum.

I will for all eternity be grateful to Yahshua and those he used to minister to me; first Elizabeth Overbeck, followed by eLaine Vornholt and Laura Lee Vornholt-Jones, who have gallantly testified to the truth for such a time as this.

After being well entrenched into Saturday Sabbath keeping I was introduced to the Lunar Sabbath calendar in 2004 by a close friend. I had all of the standard arguments ready with my replies and after a lengthy conversation I developed a mindset that said “this is utter nonsense and heresy”. Surely if there was anything to this Lunar Sabbath business all of the Saturday Sabbath keepers would be doing it, right?

It wasn’t until 2005 when the topic of the Lunar Calendar came around again. It seemed the more I tried to get away from it the more it came to my attention. I finally decided to take a stand. I was going to prove once and for all that the 7th day on the Gregorian calendar was the correct 7th day from creation and the proper day to worship. After all, the Jews surely knew when the Sabbath should be!

My study took me to the Internet where after much digging I discovered that the Romans, in their history, kept several calendars. One was a 4 day week, one was an 8 day week and one was even a 10 day week. How then could the Romans know what day was the real 7th day from Creation? My hope of proving my original belief was beginning to diminish. I thought surely this should be relatively simple to prove. However, after many months of diligent pursuit I came to a dead end. I could not find anywhere in history nor in scripture to support a continuous 7 day cycle starting from Sunday thru Saturday. And even the names of each day of the week I found were pagan. Where to go from here?

Now after failing to prove my original belief I felt drawn, however reluctantly, to look further into this crazy idea of a floating Sabbath as I had heard it called. After about 1 year of prayer and study I came to believe that indeed Yahuah our all wise heavenly Father had placed His calendar in the sky where no man could corrupt it. After reading about so many man-made calendars over the months it makes perfect sense for our Creator to put His true calendar up in the sky so all could see and read it. How perfectly divine and simple!

Do I think I have all the answers to the calendar issues today? Assuredly not. Do I continue to study and pray for more guidance and understanding? Absolutely yes.

With desperate deliberateness I began quoting to myself the precious promises. “He that cometh unto me, I will in nowise cast out.” “He will lead you into all truth.” “The truth will set you free.” And Ellen White’s assertion that truth can always afford to be fair. Alright, I decided, I will search for truth. If that truth says that I’ve been wrong for 50 years, so be it. Error does not honor God. I will choose to obey no matter what the cost. But, I will study and keep on studying until I know for sure which 7th day is God’s true Sabbath. Did God really make a calendar/clock to tell us when to worship Him?

So went my thoughts and feelings on that day when my solid, Seventh-day Adventist beliefs were challenged. I spent the rest of that day and far into the night Googling every source I could find on “Jewish calendar history,” “lunar calendar,” “history of the calendar,” “lunar Sabbath,” etc. The next day I went to a Christian Supply store and purchased a CD-Rom program containing( ). Sometime later I learned of the Interlinear Bible with Strong’s numbers by every word, and an expanded Dictionary also by Strong. I studied for months; I didn’t want to take anyone’s word for the establishment of my beliefs.

I never doubted the validity of the Seventh-day Sabbath. But I found that the truth of the luni-solar calendation had come to my church in the past and been rejected as “too confusing for the common people.” I found that God has had a true Sabbath day from creation, but it can only be found by the clock/calendar in the sky that He made, not the one on paper made by a Catholic Pope.

Many times in my study I had to pray that God would make me willing to obey if He showed me the truth. I have not ceased studying, but after about a month of reading every source I could find, I became convinced beyond any shadow of doubt that keeping the Sabbath by lunar calendation was the only correct method. I began immediately to obey and have never looked back. God is so good to make known to us “common people” His truth about when to worship. May God bless us all as we seek to obey.

It took me a little while to understand what she was saying, but when it finally clicked my first thought was about school. How would this affect my schooling? How would this affect my Dad’s job? My main worry was: “what if this is true??” Could I really have been keeping the wrong Sabbath my entire life?

But when I started to really look at what the Bible, the writing of Ellen G. White and the astronomical and historical proof of the luni-solar calendar, I realized that I could either worship by the calendar which a Babylonian king came up with, a pagan emperor made, and a Roman Catholic pope edited, or I could believe in what God has set in the sky for all to see and what He had said to obey.

So I put my preconceived ideas on hold and asked God to lead me to His truth and not be deceived. And I guess that is a question everyone should ask themselves: do you trust God to keep you safe? Both physically and spiritually? And I learned that, just like with anything else, truth can bear the weight of investigation.

At first it was really weird to worship on say, a Wednesday because God’s calendar is not a continual cycle but now I will look at the Gregorian and go “What! It’s a Tuesday?” But the Sabbath means so much more to me now that I know when the Sabbath is. As God said in Exodus 20:11:“For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

I thank God for showing me His truth and helping me all the way. You all have a wonderful day.

Somehow I have always known that there is a different reckoning of time that does not coincide with the traditional work week. For example: Why do all of the moon’s phases float through the month? Why are the Jewish feasts and holidays always different? What did God mean when He inspired Isaiah to write what he did about worshiping on new moons? (See Isaiah 66:23) What does God want us to do with the woman of Revelation who stands on the moon? (See Revelation 12:1) What led to October 22, 1844 as THE date for the ending of the 2300 day prophesy? (The Great Controversy, p. 400)

When first faced with a departure from the traditional Saturday Sabbath to a Sabbath based on the moon’s cycle, I was tempted to reject the notion out of hand. This feeling is one that some have described as a ‘feeling of heaviness’ that attends new light – especially new light that would be inconvenient to observe and obey.

When considering a ‘floating Sabbath’, as one that seems to move through the accepted common (Gregorian) week, I immediately realized that to observe such a Sabbath correctly I would have to abstain from work entirely on whatever day of the week it fell. No phone messages, no email, etc. I would effectively be cut-off from those who need my professional help.

The feelings of heaviness washed over me like a flood. What would my clients and associates do with me unavailable during those times? I thought that I would immediately lose work and that my reputation and career would suffer. Worst of all, I would be pressed to answer for my absence and have to explain this new condition. I determined to obey, whatever the consequences and the tests came, along with their attendant anxieties.

Here I will share just one such test that occurred in May of 2008:

I had just helped to complete the installation and calibration of a large on-site wastewater system near _______. I knew that this would be the ‘shakedown’ time for things to go wrong with the system and I would be called on to diagnose the problem and advise a fix.

Sabbath fell on a Gregorian Wednesday that week. There were 12 voice mail messages on my cell phone on Thursday when I went to work. As I listened to the messages, it became clear that I was urgently needed. The anxiety and frustration in my mind rose to fever pitch. This was emphasized as the messages went on getting more and more urgent; until I came to the last message that said, “We figured it out! No worries. Have a great day!” The problem was worked out in a way that was simply miraculous. I did not even need to call back the messages!

I must admit, during those messages I just about broke down with despair toward the mid-week Sabbath and the odd time off. I just bit my lip and hung on! It was a severe lesson on perseverance and patience that I am now thankful for. Now, I can look back and see that it was a paper dragon set up to test my resolve. I thank God that through faith in Him, I did not despair and put my trust in His hands. I have not had such a severe test to my resolve since that time.

As for my clients and associates that I work with, they have yet to show any discomfort or apprehension over my strange absenteeism while I and my family observe the Sabbath.

The other worry that I was burdened with was the lost time of work that would need to somehow be made up. For example, if the Sabbath (and attendant monthly new moon) fell somewhere in the normal work week, say a Thursday-Friday, this would mean that I was available to my clients and associates only three working days that week! This seemed to me as too little to work out.

I kept faith in God that He would work this out for me. The answer came in that I would now be free to work on my own, uninterrupted, over the traditional weekend. Two whole days to make up for the one that was lost during the week! With no phone calls or problems that required my immediate attention. My productivity soared!

My first concern over not having enough time for productive work was more than made up for! I realized that I could, by working over the normal weekend, get high-quality design time. This has actually increased my over-all productivity and income!

When considering the two different calendars, it occurred to me that one calendar system was that of Caesar and the other of God. Then I remembered what Jesus had said when confronted with two disparaging systems: “Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s” (Matt 22:21).

It is evident to me that the two calendars are for very different observances; one used for work and the other for worship. This has helped me resolve the apparent conflict of living within both calendars and set my mind at ease.

It is my hope that my experience may help bolster your faith to obey the fourth commandment which calls us to rest and worship on the Sabbath of God and not the spurious Sabbath established by Caesar.

After a 7 to 9 month research at the local library, I had to admit this book was pretty sound and the truth about the Sabbath and the calendar in particular were well grounded. I joined the local Seventh-day Adventist Church in 1984 and started keeping Saturday as the 7th Day.

In 1991, a friend of mine, who is a lawyer, sent me a book he just wrote on the Feasts of the Lord. Again, I was surprised to discover the historical, biblical background of the Feasts of the Lord of Leviticus 23 and joined groups all over the world keeping the Spring and Fall Feasts and I have observed these appointed times ever since.

Then in 2004, another American friend, Jewish by birth and converted to Adventism, sent me a numerous amount of books on the Biblical luni-solar calendar and Seventh-day Sabbath based on that calendar. After one year of study (2005) and still studying, I started observing the Seventh-day Sabbath according to the luni-solar calendar as the Millerites’ movement of the 1800’s had discovered through the study of Daniel 8 and 9.

I was also privileged to receive in 2007 the collection of Grace Amadon on the luni-solar calendar (1939 era) as preserved in the archives at Andrews University and I am still studying fervently every day all the information on the crucifixion, the 1844 movement and the numerous important data on astronomy found in that treasure box. Surely, Babylon has her hand on the present Gregorian calendar and will fall with certainty once that message spreads out!

May the Heavenly Father continue to open this treasure box to our understanding is my hope and prayer for all His true searching people.

YHVH had to take me places where "He, YHovah, Elohim, Yahshua the Messiah was at work and it was my job to follow Him and participate in what He was doing in these last days. So, since 1999, I have been on a journey. One of the individuals that I met kept the "Creation Calendar" and challenged me with a series of questions that I had never heard before. Then the book Keeping Yahweh's Appointments, by Jonathan David Brown was given to me in 2001 and I began to read. I started keeping the Biblical Sabbath by the moon 2002.

I also read the book, Weekly Sabbath Days are Determined-BY THE MOON by Arnold Bowen & Matthew Janzen where different questions are answered, like...The Manna of Exodus, The March Around Jericho, Two-day New Moon Festivities, etc.

A huge piece to the puzzle came January-2008, when I was directed to this website by a friend. Also, the "Benedictine Perpetual Calendar" was another piece to what Yah is revealing to those who have the eye salve.

I am still forever learning and unlearning....whatever we can learn or unlearn in peace time, we will not have to unlearn or learn during crisis time....It is for each of us to search out a matter for ourselves, that is a work we have to do.
